Teesside GasPort is the world’s first dockside LNG vaporization and natural gas receiving facility. Placed in service in February 2007, Teesside GasPort delivers natural gas into the UK’s National Transmission System (NTS) and provides access to National Balancing Point (NBP) markets.

Teesside GasPort can initially accommodate deliveries at a baseload rate of up to 400 mmcf/d with peak rates of up to 600 mmcf/d. With on-site nitrogen blending facilities, Teesside GasPort can accommodate virtually any quality of LNG delivered and still meet stringent NTS standards.

As an example of the flexibility that Excelerate Energy’s GasPort technology offers, Teesside GasPort was brought into service within 12 months of site selection and at a cost that is roughly 10% of a conventional land-based LNG terminal with the same capabilities.
