Excelerate Energy received the prestigious Anzai Achievement Award. The award was presented at GASTECH 2009 in AbuDhabi. The Anzai Award honors significant contribution to the development of the international natural gas industry. Excelerate Energy was awarded the Anzai award for their achievements with the design, development, implementation, and operation of the Energy Bridge technology used in the specially designed regasification ships down through the company’s GasPorts and Gateways.

About The Anzai Award

As chairman of Tokyo Gas in the late 1960s/early 1970s, Dr Hiroshi Anzai committed his company to the first major LNG import project to the Pacific region. His success is considered a milestone in the development of international LNG trade. Consequently, he was honored with an award in his name at the first Asian GASTECH conference in Kuala Lumpur in 1988. The Award has only been granted to most prominent market participants since, namely Woodside, Shell, Pertamina, and Qatargas.
